  QUILTIN’ COUNTRY opened its doors on July 7, 2003 giving Killeen area quilters a full service quilt store. Beautiful fabrics, informative classes, and great customer service by friendly employees are our goals. QC is located in southwest Killeen near the regional airport and the Fort Hood Clear Creek PX/commissary. We are conveniently located away from the main traffic areas in the more commercial parts of town and we have plenty of parking.

     Quiltin’ Country’s charming atmosphere can be attributed to its original hardwood floors and large rooms in this remodeled 50’s church parsonage. Quilters enjoy the bright lighting, spacious aisles and collections of coordinate fabrics. Beginner quilters are thrilled to find a favorite fabric and matching coordinates on our extensive color wall.

     In 2005, we added the Husqvarna/Viking line of sewing machines and sergers to the inventory. The Designer Diamond is the answer to every quilter’s quest for the perfect sewing & embroidery machine. The Mega Quilter and Imperial frame allows a quilter the opportunity to quilt her own quilts at a very affordable price.

     The store is managed by Lucky, the cat, full time resident since August of 2003.  His employees include Gayle Smith (store owner), Cathy Letson, Suzanne Paine, Betty Szczepanski, Dolly Underwood, and Darlene Staley. We also have a software trained Viking-certified teacher and Viking-certified machine technician.
